No One Left Behind: Using Mixed-Methods Research to Identify and Learn from Socially Marginalised Adolescents in Low- and Middle-Income Countries

Abstract This article describes the mixed-methods approach used by Gender and Adolescence: Global Evidence (GAGE) research programme. It discusses how qualitative quantitative methods can be both in isolation combined to learn about lives of adolescents low- middle-income countries (LMICs), focusing on methodological ethical approaches reach socially marginalised (including with disabilities, not school, adolescent refugees, living urban slums, who married as children, mothers). We reflect implementation GAGE conceptual framework, discussing its strengths weaknesses, challenges promoting inclusive genuinely practices. While these have been adapted where was undertaken, framework provides a common approach, utilising an intersectional lens. show contribute knowledge base girls boys globally, serving important resource for future young people LMICs.
